Vashon Youth Baseball and Softball is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised entirely of volunteers. We are affiliated with the Northwest Region of PONY Baseball. Our EIN is 91-1264887.
Our mission is to provide a community baseball and softball program that teaches the fundamentals of the game while prioritizing personal, social, and community growth. In order to accomplish this mission, we seek to attain the following objectives:
To govern the league in a manner that puts the development of our players, as both athletes and persons, above other considerations.
To provide our players with volunteer coaches who work with players of all ability levels, who prioritize player development, and who provide players with positive examples of sportsmanship.
To ensure our coaches teach proper baseball and softball fundamentals while remembering that development of exceptional athletic skills and winning games are secondary to players’ personal and social development.
To provide high-quality facilities and equipment for our players.
